For fifteen years, Anthony Lakes Outdoor Recreation Association has been dedicated to making the magic of the great outdoors accessible to kids of all ages in and around Baker City and North Powder.

In any given year, our programs serve more than 1,500 local youth, and more than 30,000 people overall. The most popular of these programs take place as part of the winter ski season at Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort, where 50% of our low-and-no-cost school program participants are learning to ski and snowboard for the first time. These kids depend on us to provide space, equipment, instruction, and support to make their experience shine.

While we wouldn’t change a thing about the mountain itself, the buildings we use every day are another story. After nearly a century of use, a lot of them need at least a little love. And one of them – the Rental & Repair Shop that outfits hundreds of kids every week – needs more than that. It needs a total rebuild. That’s why we are working to raise $1.5 million to build a bigger, better Rental & Repair Shop and brand-new Youth Center with our local construction partners, Sid Johnson & Co.
